25-Year Limited Warranty
We are currently experiencing significant delays for warranty processing of Leatherman WAVE and WAVE+ tools in Stainless Steel, due to a shortage of parts as a result of Covid19.
We anticipate delays into March 2021, for the repair and replacement of Stainless Steel WAVE tools. Please take this into consideration if your warranty request relates to these products. We will continue to monitor this situation and update where possible.

We take extraordinary measures to make sure your Leatherman product will give you many years of dependable service. If it doesn't, or the product has a defect in material or workmanship, don’t worry! We will gladly repair or replace it, at our discretion, with one of equal or greater value under our 25-year guarantee for knives and tools and a 10-year guarantee for Leatherman branded lights.

We do not need a purchase receipt to begin a warranty claim.
We suggest you register the package with Australia post for tracking purposes, as we can not be held responsible for items that do not arrive.
The large majority of components in your Leatherman product will go through a rigorous manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality, incredibly precise tolerances and best longevity for each tool. The finishing processes are still done by hand in our factory in Portland, OR, USA. In these final stages of the assembly process is imperative to have a human connection, allowing for the correct torque and feel “for real life”.
Throughout this process components will be cleaned and lubricated. It is possible that (from time-to-time) there will be small amounts of lubricant apparent on the joints or marks from this personal touch in the final process. If you have unboxed a Black Oxide model and find small blemishes on the components, or find there is lubricant where you don’t want it on any tool, a simple wipe with a cloth will buff out the small marks or remove lubricant.
This is all to ensure the tool will be in the best working condition when you receive your new Leatherman.
Our warranty covers only the original/primary owner and does not cover abuse, alteration, theft, loss, or unauthorized and/or unreasonable use of your Leatherman product. This warranty does not cover sheaths, accessories, imprinting, colour finishes, cleaning, or sharpening. This warranty covers products purchased through an authorized dealer.
Our warranty program covers tools purchased for personal use only. This warranty does not cover bulk purchases from auctions or flea markets with the intent to resell repaired or refurbished tools.
Leatherman Tool Group is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
